My Author for the Hour…

Draw the Circle imageOver here at #theloft to share a favorite book. I sometimes don’t like to draw vast amounts of attention to the author, however it seems that Mark Batterson is really saying what we need to hear right now. Or at least I do!

I began my journey not with “The Circle Maker” but with his “Draw the Circle – 40 day Prayer Challenge. Wow, what a book or I should say what a God! Forty days of amazing stories of answered prayer that will surely do something to inspire your prayer life.

The Bible is tops for me but God truly anoints His men and women at various times to stir us up and encourage us along this road to home!

Blessed to join you all on the journey!

  1. Okay, now I want to do this 40 Day Challenge! But it will have to wait until the new year 🙂 Thanks for sharing this is such an appealing way. You are right, God does anoint people for certain times and moves. Looking forward to getting to this author’s work soon.

  2. I haven’t done the challenge, but I’ve read The Circle Maker – an amazing God, for sure! I’ll definitely have to look into this – thank you for the suggestion!

  3. I have not read any of Batterson’s writing, but anything that leads one to a prayer commitment cannot be bad. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation…and for joining us at The Loft.

  4. I had a spare hour the other night once I had the baby in bed and waiting for my husband to come home from a ministry session with a youth group member, and this is the book I picked up while I was praying for him. Very inspiring and right to draw attention to it.
God has a way of highlighting specific books for our seasons, so I don’t have one favourite book. I’ve written about my current favourites at my blog. Compelled by Love by Heidi Baker and Children and the Supernatural by Jennifer Toledo.

    1. The books you mention sound fascinating! Thanks for sharing! I trust God knows what we are ready to receive and therefore we lay our hands upon those tools at just the right time!
      Blessings to you Lizzy!

  5. Huh? I may need to check out that book! I’ve been thinking about how the testimonies of others encourage boldness in us. What better boldness is there then to come boldly before His thrown?! Coming to you from The Loft!
