Meet Kimberly
Kimberly has resided in the “Icebox of the Nation” for most of her life. However, there were many twists and turns along the way before she found hope in Jesus.
The era was “The Dawning of the Age of Aquarius”. As a young teenage girl caught up in the 60’s and all that went with the lifestyle back then, Kimberly got lost in the trending culture. From folk music to the Acid Rock music she was introduced to the world of psychedelics, mysticism and all that it entailed. She was simply looking for love in all the wrong places.
From New York in 1969, the rock festival Woodstock, led this 15-year-old runaway to New Mexico where she lived for the next couple of years. Until she decided to run from the rejection the father of her baby handed her upon discovering she was pregnant. From New Mexico to northern Minnesota, it was there she would give birth to her baby boy.
However, Kimberly had a difficult time never quite finding what she longed for.
It was at the age of 30, Kimberly met her Savior, Jesus Christ, through Christian media. Her story has been recorded and written in several ministries such as the 700 Club, Words to Live By and Cradle My Heart Ministry. Kimberly has a strong desire to let others know that Jesus makes all the difference in a person’s life, remaking the unlovely and confused into a new creation. Truth she knows is that she is not that girl back then! Becoming a new creation in Christ.
Today…
Kimberly and her husband of almost 40 years have resided in the North Land. This is where they built their home, raised the kids, have grown the gardens, shoveled the snow and enjoyed life in all the seasons the Northland brings.
However because she knows who her redeemer is, she loves His word and the truth therein those pages!
Summer gardens, fall harvesting, beautiful colors that are Kimberly’s favorite giving way to snow and more snow!
Winters bring more time for crafting, baking and writing! And studying God’s Word!
